Her research competence is connected to the development of business and industry. In recent years her research has focused on a variety of topics, such as the food supply chain, local and organic food, agricultural and advisory service in agriculture, implementing new technology in agriculture, animal welfare, communication between The Norwegian Food Safety Authority inspectors and farmers, social sustainability in feed value chains, and mainly through qualitative studies. Theories on innovation, cooperation, networking, learning and organizing, interaction and communication, and social sustainability have provided the theoretical basis for this work.
