On 19 and 20 March, we gathered project partners and advisers for the kickoff of BluePlaces at Scandic Nidelven in Trondheim.<\/p>\n

During two exciting days, we discussed project structure, content, and how we will work going forward. With blue skies and proximity to the sea, it was a fitting and good start to the project.<\/p>\n

The coast’s many challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n

In BluePlaces we will look at how we can create resilient blue places. This is at a time when both climate adaptation and social and economic changes are creating challenges along our coasts.<\/p>\n

We will explore how we can develop a blue economy where different groups \u2013 including women, young people, and migrants \u2013 can all contribute.<\/p>\n

During the start-up, we were able to look at different theoretical approaches to our research goals, as well as discussing the plan for case studies and research design.<\/p>\n

Good to meet everyone<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was good to finally meet in person, to get to know each other better, and start the work. We have now developed a good plan for the project\u2019s program of activities.<\/p>\n

We will keep you updated on what is happening in the project along the way, also through social media.<\/p>\n
