Dr Carolyn Morris is a senior lecturer in sociocultural anthropology at Massey University in New Zealand. Her research and teaching interests are in cultures of agriculture and the politics of food and focus on ethnicity, gender, rurality and race relations.

Her current research is focused on the making of markets, in particular for Maori potatoes, heritage potatoes in Ireland and sheep milk and she is also working on the processes of food innovation.
