Oddveig Storstad (contract completed June 2015)

Oddveig Storstad has a doctoral degree in sociology (dr.polit.) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), 2007, and she is one of the reserarch managers at the Centre. Her main research interest has been to explore how consumer preferences, attitudes and behaviour affect the food market, and especially the relationship between consumer interests and the interests of farmers. She has conducted several studies on organic consumption, and this was also a central topic in her doctoral thesis. Other key topics are consumer perceptions of food quality, food and risk, consumer trust and possibilities for alliances between groups of consumers and farmers. Storstad has also conducted research on several other topics within the field of rural sociology, especially on topics related to farmers and farming.
