Reidun Heggem focuses her research around recruitment into agriculture and women in agriculture. Heggem is researcher at the Centre for Rural Research. The focus of her doctoral dissertation is the transformation of the role of the farmer: From being someone who engaged exclusively in the production of food and fiber, the farmer is now increasingly also becoming a provider of service and products of symbolic value.
