The smallest municipalities often have little capacity to meet planning requirements due to a lack of resources, few people with many roles and tasks, no “reliefs” in the planning requirements compared to large municipalities. The project aims to mitigate this by proposing simplifications and improvements related to planning and development processes in municipalities with less than 2,500 inhabitants.

The project will result in concrete proposals for changes, which can also benefit other (small) municipalities. Furthermore, the aim is that the District Center and the county municipalities can adapt and improve their guidance towards the smallest municipalities in their planning activities.
