Engelsk beskrivelse: The overreaching objective with this project is to assist the decision making process by individual producers, consumers, advisers, analysts, and not at least policy makers, by providing research-based knowledge of organic farmings economic, environmental and social contributions within the Norwegian society. The specific objectives include to: compare the economic, environmental and social effects of organic and conventional farming systems, examine the public preferences at national and local level from the environmental, economic and social attributes of (organic) agriculture, accomplish case studies of the multiple impacts of the organic farming system relative to other farming systems, and develop policy implications and inform future decision making on the support of organic farming.
