A-07/98 Breaking into the masculine discourse. Women and farm forestry.
Sociologia Ruralis Vol. 38, No 3, 1998. The article shows how the Forest Owners Federation and its press contribute to constructing women in a farm forestry context. Judging from the selection of material, women have broken into parts of the forestry discourse, and their position is more visible today than it was twenty years ago. There has been a change in the way women are pictured; from being represented as primarily belonging to work and relations in the family/household (1970s) to individual forest owners, workers and professionals in 1980s and 1990s.
