Researcher/Doctoral Student - Master of Science in Sociology
Alexander Zahl-Thanem has a Master of Science in Sociology from NTNU and has been employed at Ruralis since 2015. His specialization is within quantitative methodology, and he is working on various projects regarding the collection, facilitation and analyzes of survey- and register data. Zahl-Thanem has worked on research within immigration and integration, rural public health, and socio-cultural conditions in agriculture, and is the project leader of the biennial survey ‘Trends in Norwegian Agriculture’. Zahl-Thanem started his PhD in autumn 2020, where he aims to use register data to analyse spatial inequalities and mobilities in Norway.
