Eirik Magnus Fuglestad

Eirik Magnus Fuglestad is a rural sociologist. He holds a PhD from the university of Edinburgh, UK on the connections between property in land, nation building and peasant movements. At Ruralis Fuglestad is involved in a variety of research projects covering topics including technology and agricultural farm structure, climate adaption in agriculture, rural policy, natural resources management and social sustainability. Fuglestad currently leads two research projects at Ruralis: AGRISOCIAL: towards a socially sustainable green transition for agriculture and rural areas in Norway and MATMAKT: Exploring the implications of power dynamics for food system change and sustainability outcomes across food, environment, health and climate.
