Eirik Magnus Fuglestad

Eirik Magnus Fuglestad is a Researcher II at Ruralis. He has a PhD in historical sociology from the University of Edinburgh, where he researched connections between land ownership, nation-building and the farmers’ role in this process. Fuglestad has a diverse research portfolio at Ruralis that includes structure and technology development in agriculture, climate adaptation in agriculture, resource management, rural policy, bioeconomy, and social sustainability. Today, Fuglestad is project manager for the projects “Governing transitions in the Norwegian outfields: Between agrarian traditions, modern consumption and green industrialisation (GOVOUT)” and “AGRISOCIAL: Towards a socially sustainable green transition for agriculture and rural communities”.
