This free full-day event brings together policymakers, marine and environmental NGOs, community practitioners, and coastal stakeholders from across Europe. Together, we will explore how local voices, community knowledge and action, and local co-creation approaches can shape more inclusive and effective marine policy.
From inspiring panel discussions and policy reflections to a hands-on presentation of the project’s results, the day will showcase how the EmpowerUs project has enabled transformation across six coastal communities, and how its methods and insights can support broader EU and global initiatives like the EU Ocean Pact, Nature Restoration Law, and the UN Ocean Decade.
