Animal mistreatment in agriculture – a pilot study – Dyretragedier – forprosjekt

The main purpose of this pilot study is to present an incipient analysis of the causes of animal tragedies (serious animal mistreatments) in Norwegian agriculture. The pilot study should result in many-faceted approaches to the problem that goes more thoroughly into the topic of serious animal mistreatments in agriculture. During the project, we will sort out how to get access to farmers that have or have had animal tragedies on their own farms, as well as how to get access to these farmers social network and to the ‘agricultural network’ that surround each farmer. These experiences and this knowledge will be a starting point for designing a larger project on the topic.
