Effects of the law of obligation of residence in Norway shall be studied. One of the purposes of this regulation is to secure and strengthen settlement in rural areas. In the first part of the project we will analyze effects of the obligation of residence on farms. The second part of the project concerns effects of obligation of residence on dwelling houses in municipalities where such a regulation is implemented. The project will take place Aug 2007 to Sept 2008. The project is funded by “Avtalepartene i jordbruket”.
