Kvam’ s research expertise lies within the area of business development linked to the value chain for food. Advisory services in agriculture have been a research topic for several years as well as animal welfare, where she currently participates in several research projects. Kvam additionally participates in projects that deal with sustainability in the development of the bioeconomy such as the development of new feed ingredients for agriculture and aquaculture, with a spotlight on social sustainability. She has experience from evaluations and more development-related work. In terms of methodology, the competence lies mainly in qualitative studies, while the theoretical standpoint is on innovation, networks, learning and organization. The research interest lies in how the food system and the bioeconomy can contribute to a more sustainable development.
