Rita Moseng Sivertsvik is a political scientist (Cand.polit.) with a master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. She has been employed at Ruralis – Institute for Rural and Regional Research since 2016 and currently works as a Researcher and Research Adviser. She has been involved in a wide range of research projects, including projects funded by the Norwegian Research Council as well as several H2020 and Horizon Europe projects.

Her work covers a broad range of topics within municipal and regional development, including municipal reform and inter-municipal cooperation, as well as local community development, governance, and public policy. She also works on innovation and business development in nature-based tourism, with a particular focus on business actors, innovation processes, and rural innovation networks. She has experience with multi-actor partnerships in agriculture and forestry and has led several Living Labs as a methodological approach. She has also worked on crowdfunding of climate measures in agriculture, women-led innovation in agriculture, and demonstration activities in agriculture.

Methodologically, she is trained in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. She is highly engaged in communication with external stakeholders and policymakers, as well as in popular science dissemination, and has led several communication work packages in research projects. She is currently the administrative project manager for the Blueplaces project.
